The call for applications for the academic year 2026-2027 is open!
Opening: 4 August 2025.
Deadline: 19 September 2025 (Belgian time, UTC+1).
PLEASE NOTE: as indicated in the reference document for the call for applications for ARES International Training Courses 2026-2027, requests to create new GIRAF accounts will be accepted until Friday 12 September 2025 at 4 pm. (Belgian local time).
From 12 September at 4 pm, only those whose GIRAF account has been validated will be able to create an application form or complete it. Completed application forms must be submitted by Friday 19 September 2025 at 12 noon (local time in Belgium).

Goal
The goal of Specialized master in International and Development Economics (SMIDE) is to train present and future actors of development to be able to devise realistic and original policy reforms and programs based on a sound economic analysis and well adjusted to the social and political context of a country.
