Circle U. European University" brings together nine research-intensive universities, including: Université catholique de Louvain (FWB), University of Oslo (Norway), Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), Aarhus University (Denmark), Université Paris Cité (France), King’s College London (United Kingdom), University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of Pisa (Italy), University of Vienna (Austria).
Circle U. aims to form an ethical circle of knowledge, connecting education, research, and innovation in service of society. The alliance envisions creating a European university where students, staff, and partners from civil society, business, and the public sector jointly develop skills and solutions to keep Europe and the planet healthy, peaceful, democratic, and prosperous.The alliance is composed of long-established, comprehensive, and research-intensive universities, particularly well-equipped to use interdisciplinary approaches to tackle societal challenges.

CIVIS is an alliance composed of 11 partner institutions, including: Université libre de Bruxelles (FWB), Université d’Aix-Marseille (France) - coordinating institution, University of Tübingen (Germany), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain)
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), University of Bucharest (Romania), Stockholm University (Sweden), University of Glasgow (United Kingdom), University of Salzburg (Austria), University of Lausanne (Switzerland).
CIVIS has an ambitious vision to make a significant impact on societal development, both locally and globally. The alliance positions itself as a driver of change and innovation in the following areas: Health, Cities, territories, and mobility, Climate, environment, and energy, Society, culture, and heritage, and since 2022, digital and technological transformation
CIVIS aims to develop and structure educational pathways linked to research and innovation, centered around major societal challenges. These pathways are connected to civic engagement activities and partnerships with Mediterranean and African counterparts. In 2022, the CIVIS alliance was selected for a new European co-funding period of at least four years, under the name CIVIS-2.

EUNICE brings together 10 medium-sized universities, including: University of Mons (FWB), Poznan University of Technology (Poland)
Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany), University of Cantabria (Spain), University of Vaasa (Finland), Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France), University of Catania (Italy), University of the Peloponnese (Greece), Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (Portugal),Karlstad University (Sweden).
EUNICE is a people-centered alliance. Taking advantage of the geographical context of its member universities—mostly located in regions undergoing economic transition—EUNICE is committed to developing customised education aimed at supporting local economic development. This is achieved through education that addresses the challenges of industry, society, and the labor market. The development of EUNICE seeks to build a multi-centered, intercultural, open, and individual-focused consortium, reinforcing European identity and promoting shared European values through interculturality and multilingualism.

UNIC is the result of a collaboration between 10 partner universities, including: University of Liège (FWB), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), University of Deusto (Spain), University of Oulu (Finland), University of Zagreb (Croatia), University College Cork (Ireland), Koç University (Turkey), University of Lodz (Poland), Malmö University (Sweden).
UNIC aims to take inclusion to the next level by leveraging the super-diverse contexts of post-industrial cities to create new European opportunities for all its students. The alliance seeks to expand educational access for non-traditional students, including members of new migrant communities and individuals living in socio-economically disadvantaged areas. UNIC students and staff will study, teach, and work across Europe to learn and become agents of change, playing a role in transforming the post-industrial urban regions of the future. By engaging students in real urban challenges with its partner cities through initiatives such as CityLabs, UNIC aims to bring science into the city and contribute to the resilience and revitalization of Euro

The UNIgreen alliance unites institutions that share a common vision: to promote excellence in education, learning, research, and innovation in the fields of sustainable agriculture, green biotechnology, and environmental and life sciences. UNIgreen builds on long-standing collaboration to create an integrated European university that supports the green economy.
