Toward a fairer, more sustainable world that leaves no one behind, ARES, the higher education institutions of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and all their partners are committed to this goal by activating seven funding instruments:

Institutional Support
Supporting the institutional development of a higher education institution to create an environment conducive to relevant and high-quality teaching, research, and societal services.

PRD-PFS Projects
Supporting collaborative research projects and development-oriented training support or implementation projects.

Seed and Valorization Projects
Testing new ideas or enhancing already obtained results through short-term project funding.

International Training Programs
Strengthening the skills of human resources in partner countries by offering training in Belgium related to development issues.

Mobility Scholarships
Supporting the professional development of staff from partner institutions throughout their careers.

Policy Support Programs
Responding to needs for expertise and policy support to continuously improve the quality and impact of Belgian public development aid.

Global Citizenship Education
Raising awareness of the values, attitudes, and behaviors that underpin responsible global citizenship.
