The University Chamber
Since 2014, the work of the University Chamber (ChU) has focused in particular on the following matters:
- The methodology and criteria for analyzing applications for new accreditations, meaning the authorization for an institution to organize a study program, confer an academic degree, and issue the corresponding certificates and diplomas;
-
The organization by ARES of the orientation test in the health sector, which must be taken by any student before enrolling in the first cycle of medical or dental studies;
-
Language exemptions, which allow courses to be taught in a language other than French. A list of exemptions requested by universities between 2011 and 2014 to offer master's programs in English was compiled;
- The validation of bachelor's programs: ARES ensures that curricula meet minimum content requirements to guarantee the harmonization of training and the learning outcomes certified by academic degrees
